Description & Ingredients

Soursop leaf tea, made from the leaves of the soursop tree, the tropical evergreen behind the sweet green fruit known across Latin America as guanabana or guyabano and sold in some supplements as graviola. Each unbleached tea bag holds 2,000 mg of soursop leaf (Annona muricata), and each tube holds 24 bags, which is 24 days at the one cup a day the label suggests. In Spanish it is te de guanabana.

What is inside

Soursop Leaf (Annona muricata), 2,000 mg per tea bag. Daily Value not established. That is the entire Supplement Facts panel: one ingredient, nothing added, no fillers and no flavourings. Organic or wildcrafted leaves, made in the USA, and third party tested for identity, microbials and heavy metals.

Why the tea bag itself matters

We use unbleached, plant based tea bags on purpose. No chlorine bleaching and no plastic, which means none of the microplastics that conventional bags can shed into the cup when you steep them. It is a small detail that most brands do not mention, and it is the part of the product you actually put in boiling water.

What it tastes like

Mild and earthy with a light tang, closer to a green herbal cup than to a fruit tea, and it is naturally caffeine free, so it works late in the evening as easily as first thing. Good warm, good over ice, and it takes honey, ginger or lemon well if you want to round it out.

Tea bags, loose leaves, capsules or powder

We sell soursop leaf four ways and they are genuinely for different people. These tea bags are the ready to brew option: pre portioned at 2,000 mg, nothing to measure, nothing to strain. If you would rather brew whole leaves yourself and control the strength, that is the loose leaf product. If you do not want to brew at all, that is the capsule. If you want to blend it into food or smoothies, that is the powder. Same leaf, four formats.

Frequently asked questions

How do you make soursop tea?
Boil 8 fl oz of fresh, cool water, pour it over one tea bag, cover it and steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then remove the bag. Longer than five minutes gives you a deeper, more earthy cup. Drink it warm or pour it over ice.

Does soursop tea have caffeine?
No. Soursop leaf is naturally caffeine free, and there is nothing else in the bag, so there is no caffeine in this tea at all. That is why it suits an evening cup.

What does soursop tea taste like?
Mild, earthy and lightly tangy, more green and herbal than fruity. It is not bitter and it does not need sweetening, although honey, ginger or lemon all suit it.

How often should you drink soursop tea?
Our label directs one cup daily, in the morning or the afternoon, and that is the guidance we stand behind rather than anything more. Pregnant or nursing mothers, individuals under 18, and individuals with known medical conditions should consult a physician before use.

Should I buy the tea bags or the loose leaves?
Tea bags if you want it simple and consistent: 2,000 mg already portioned, no measuring and no strainer. Whole soursop leaves if you prefer to brew loose and decide your own strength, and they also go further per dollar. If brewing is not your thing at all, there are soursop leaf capsules instead.

What is soursop leaf traditionally used for?
More than we can fairly cover on a product page. We set out what the traditional uses are, what the research does and does not show, and which questions we will not answer, in our article on the benefits of soursop leaves.

Our Soursop Leaf Tea Supplement Is Third Party Tested

Our Soursop Leaf Tea Supplement Is Third Party Tested

We conduct third-party lab tests for identity, heavy metals, and microbials to help ensure the quality and safety of our soursop leaf tea. Since trace metals can be found in many natural ingredients, we test each batch twice - once upon the raw material arrival and again after packaging through an independent third-party lab. This two-step process helps verify that our products meet our internal quality and safety standards.

We believe in full transparency. Download our third-party test report below.
