Sea Moss & Bladderwrack — Our Lab Results
Our lab results
Most sea moss brands won't tell you how much iodine is actually in their capsules. We had ours independently tested, and here are the numbers.
What an independent lab found in a serving
We sent a 3-capsule serving of our Sea Moss & Bladderwrack (200ct) to an independent laboratory. Testing was completed December 16, 2025 (lot 250639). Here is what a serving contains:
What the iodine number means
Iodine supports normal thyroid function — your thyroid uses iodine to make its hormones.* Sea moss and bladderwrack are naturally rich in it, which is exactly why people reach for them. At 552 mcg per serving ours is genuinely high in iodine (still within the NIH adult upper limit of 1,100 mcg per day), so if you have a thyroid condition such as hyperthyroidism, talk to your doctor first, and don't take more than the serving on the label.
Iron, too
The same test found 2 mg of iron per serving. Iron supports normal red blood cell formation and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.*
Tested twice, every batch
Minerals are only part of it. We test every batch twice — once when the raw seaweed arrives, and again after the capsules are made, through an independent lab — for identity, microbials, and heavy metals, so that what the label says is what is in the bottle. Our seaweed is wildcrafted from the cold North Atlantic and the capsules are made in the USA.
Where we draw the line
This page is about what is in the product and the normal roles those minerals play in the body. It is not medical advice, and sea moss and bladderwrack are foods, not treatments for any condition.
