How is Our Sea Moss Harvested?

We use only wildcrafted Chondrus crispus, a type of sea moss that naturally grows in cold North Atlantic waters. This species anchors to ocean rocks and absorbs trace minerals from its marine environment. Chondrus crispus is traditionally valued for its natural growing conditions and is known for its robust nutrient profile.

We do not use sea moss that is farmed in warm-water regions such as the Caribbean or China. These varieties are often cultivated on ropes in shallow waters or pools for mass production and may have different mineral characteristics due to their growing environment.
