What is inside

• Black walnut hull (Juglans nigra), 400 mg. The green outer husk of the walnut, not the nut itself, long used in North American and European folk herbalism.
• Wormwood whole plant (Artemisia absinthium), 400 mg. Despite the name it is neither wood nor worm. It is one of the classic bitter herbs, harvested in its flowering season, and it is the reason this formula exists.
• Myrrh resin (Commiphora myrrha), 400 mg. The aromatic resin of the Commiphora tree, traded for thousands of years and found sealed in Egyptian tombs.

Black walnut and wormwood have been paired in herbal tradition for a very long time, and myrrh is the third piece here rather than the clove some formulas use. Yes. Black walnut hull is the husk of a tree nut, and this product contains tree nuts. If you have a tree nut allergy, do not take it. This is stated on our label.

Is this a probiotic?
No. Most products sold for gut health are probiotics, which work by adding bacteria. This is a traditional bitter and resin formula, which is a different approach and a much older one. If a probiotic is what you are looking for, this is not that product.

Why myrrh instead of clove?
Some traditional formulas pair black walnut and wormwood with clove. Ours uses myrrh, an aromatic resin with its own long history of use. If you are specifically looking for a clove version, this is not it.

Is it vegan?
Yes. The shell is a vegetable cellulose capsule, not gelatin.
