Description & Ingredients

This bundle brings together four of our loose herbs to brew, plus a glass tea infuser to make them in.

Ginger Root

4 oz of organic or wildcrafted ginger root (jengibre, Zingiber officinale), cut and sifted, from Indonesia. Warm, sweet and spicy.

Chamomile Flowers

2 oz of organic or wildcrafted chamomile flowers (manzanilla, Matricaria recutita), dried whole, from Egypt. Soft and apple sweet.

Dandelion Root

4 oz of organic or wildcrafted dandelion root (diente de león, Taraxacum officinale), cut and sifted, from Poland. Earthy and properly bitter, closer to coffee than to a fruit tea. Simmer it, do not steep it.

Cuachalalate Bark

4 oz of organic or wildcrafted cuachalalate bark (Amphipterygium adstringens) from Mexico. Mild and lightly woody. There is no English name for it.

Double Wall Tea Infuser, 17 oz

A double wall glass bottle with a bamboo lid and a stainless steel mesh strainer, for brewing and carrying loose leaf tea.

How to Use

Ginger Root
DIRECTIONS: Ginger root is traditionally prepared as a tea. Add 1 teaspoon of cut and sifted ginger root to 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain, then enjoy.

Chamomile Flowers
DIRECTIONS: Chamomile flowers are traditionally prepared as a tea. Add 1 teaspoon of chamomile flowers to 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Strain, then enjoy.

Dandelion Root
DIRECTIONS: Dandelion root is a root and wants simmering, not steeping. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of dandelion root to 8 oz of water in a pan, simmer for 15 minutes, then strain. Toast the pieces in a dry pan first for a coffee style cup.

Cuachalalate Bark
DIRECTIONS: Cuachalalate bark is traditionally prepared as a tea. Add 1 teaspoon of cuachalalate bark to 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain, then enjoy.

Double Wall Tea Infuser 17 oz

  • Add your chosen herb to the stainless steel mesh strainer basket inside the bottle.
  • Pour hot water into the double wall glass bottle.
  • Twist the bamboo lid on securely and let it steep for the time above.
  • Lift the basket out and enjoy. Brew the herbs one at a time or blend two together; ginger with chamomile is a good first cup.

Precautions

Chamomile and dandelion root are both in the daisy family (Asteraceae). If you are allergic to ragweed, chrysanthemum, marigold or daisies, do not use them.

Not for use during pregnancy or nursing, or by anyone under 18. Individuals with known medical conditions should consult a physician before use. Keep out of reach of children.
