This species anchors to ocean rocks and absorbs trace minerals from its marine environment. We do not use sea moss that is farmed in warm-water regions such as the Caribbean or China. These varieties are often cultivated on ropes in shallow waters or pools for mass production and may have different mineral characteristics due to their growing environment.
